Articulate Storyline is an authoring system containing pre-programmed elements, and allows for the development of educational and interactive multimedia packages.

Should I keep using Articulate Storyline?

Existing Storyline 2 packages developed by staff remain supported by the University. SCORM packages published from Storyline can be uploaded into MyUni. If your Storyline files work as expected in MyUni there is no need to do anything. We do recommend that you keep the original source files so you can make changes in future.

We anticipate that Articulate will remove support for the standalone Storyline product at some time in the future, just as various other technologies such as Flash, Director, Authorware and Office Mix have dated and become unsupported. Therefore, to save you rework in future, interactive packages should be developed in alternative software such as PowerPoint.

If you experience any issues with Storyline packages or uploading existing packages into MyUni, the Storyline FAQs outline next steps you can take to first see if the errors can be resolved. MyUni Support will work with anyone whose packages do not work in Canvas. If the material needs to be rebuilt in an alternative format, (see below) then support is available from a Learning Resource Developer.

An interactive online presentation includes standard presentation features as well as quizzing and animation.

- Limitations
  - Difficult to provide a seamless online lecture experience for students
