What does it do?

The Self & Peer Learning Assessment Tool (SPLAT) provides a solution that allows students to confidentially evaluate self and peer contribution within a group, and provide feedback for team work and professional development skills.

How do I find the tool in MyUni?

SPLAT is by default available to all catalogue courses as well as in Staff sandpits in MyUni as an 'External Tool' type of assignment.

Tips:

Loading the SPLAT assignment in a new tab provides a better user experience.
Use the text box inside the SPLAT tool for assignment instructions, instead of the Canvas built-in one.
Custom question needs to be dragged to the appropriate category (Graduate Attribute) before it can be saved.
Once the group data is uploaded, no updates will be allowed so we recommend to do it when the group members become relatively stable, e.g. when the group work is complete.
A limit is used for highlighting the scores that fall outside the selected deviation range, which can then be moderated.
Single submission per student per SPLAT assignment. However clearing attempt is now supported via the Administration tab.
The PAF results can be applied to the original group/ project work and pushed back to Gradebook via the 'Grade Integration' feature in the Administration tab.
